Long Acre Barn
A magnificent, rustic backdrop for weddings and events
The Barn has been in our family for three generations and has had several uses since its birth in 1859, from milking cows, storing hay and most recently we used it as a maternity ward for lambing sheep.
We’ve worked hard to restore this building with love and authenticity, and we want you to feel the true romance and rural nature of life on our working farm. Throughout our project, we have made sure to use as much traditional materials as we can, including our own grown wood, recycled items found from the farm, as well as using local materials and talent wherever possible.
The barn is available for weddings, festivals, events, conferences or family celebrations. Come and see for yourself.
A little bit of history…
In 1859, Robert Addison built Keld Farm and a year later in 1860, he built the house which we now call home. Altogether this cost a whooping 120 pounds, 10 shillings and 11 pence. Can you imagine!? Fast forward 163 years and the farm is being ran by Johnny and Janet, who farm Beef and Sheep.
